Look at the pictures and tell me it isn't the nicest 993 on the market and no OBD 2 to boot!

think you'd be surpirsed how **** some of us here are w/ our porsches. seriously. even the one's w/ serious miles.

want an honest opinon?

@ that kind of price for a my95... you'd better find a:

1. collector that's interested in that specific car to add to his/her collection (but @ 20k it is not low miles). @ that price it should be del. miles & possibly never registered or @ least orig. owner.

2. someone with money that dosen't know/care about the "real" market.

believe it or not there are other low mile 993's out there that are more unique for less cash. bol

Although nice and Im no pricing expert, I think the asking price is high. Im **** about my vehicles as well but all the analness (if thats a word) in the world doesnt drive up the price to $52k (asking). My guess would be more along the lines of maybe $40-41k---purely a rough estimate.

While I like white 993's now (did not like them at all when I was first looking), quite a few buyers feel that white 993's are not the most desirable color. I am definitely not a grey interior fan. Make my Porsche interiors black, please.

But I thought the white ones got all the strong motors?
And don't the white wheels make it handle better too?
That alone is worth a $10k premium.

White/Gray is an excellent combo and easy to keep clean.
Although 20K miles is very low, it's far beyond the number
that would really make a difference in price.
I would say $43K is fair. $45K if J-Lo sat in it and $47K if Shakira sat in it
and $52K if they both were stuck in the back seat and came with the car! Chris

LOL........ for that kind of money you can get a very nice WB 993, that color combo would be at the bottom of my list.

I never said it was bad....personally I think there is no "bad" color for a 993...I just think black/black are the most desirable from a market standpoint....kinda like red Ferrari's as opposed to say...white ones. I'm certainly not saying that to degrade anybody's...I'm just saying it because I firmly believe it to be the case.

So how many of your "garage queens" are on the market? Until you've seen this car in person and can say that with a straight face, I'll stand by my claim!

As for **** Porsche owners, I have no doubts about that. I bought my first one in 76 and fall squarely into that catagory. The guy who owns this one seems to stretch even that description.

I think you guys are being a bit unfair here. Try finding a pristine sub-20k mile 993. The price is high because it would be damn near impossible to find such a good example. The pool of buyers is small for such a car, but if you're in the market for low miles, that's the price you'll pay.

Think of a very low miles 993 Turbo S selling for $120k. Now imagine that same Turbo S with 75k miles like most of our cars have... you'd be looking at probably $80k right? So that's a 50% increase in price for the low miles - similar markup for this car.

Yes, but it's not a Turbo S. It's a vanilla 95 with an aftermarket stereo. It may be pristine - and I don't doubt that it is - but it's not going to command that kind of a premium because the car itself is not that unusual. That's all. No dis to the car, but the sell is on the hard side for a bunch of people who have actually have shopped and bought 993s. Come on, someone with $52k to spend can buy a nice "S." If the seller wants honest feedback on the pricing, he's getting it; if he thinks he's going to convine us this car is worth $52k, good luck - I've watched some pretty nice cars sit for a very long time . . .

I guess you have a point, it's a plain-jane 993. Maybe mid-$40s is more in line with its actual value in the marketplace. Then again, there's a buyer for every car... just not necessarily on Rennlist

So show me the comparable 993 S car priced under $60k. Add in the $4k in complete factory Euro suspension upgrade on this car and the low $50's suddenly doesn't seem so far off. It's pointless saying which color is best but black, red and white are always the most ordered colors. After that, it's all personal taste.
Interesting to see such strong opinions on the car without having seen all the photo's or the actual car.
Stimulating discussion going here though.

I didn't say "comparable" I said "nice." Nevertheless, here's one I would call "better"
