Default Typical price for suspension install?

I'm being quoted $2700 for Bilstein HDs, M030 ROW springs, install, align and corner balance ... reasonable?

Parts would be $1550 plus shipping through ViperBob if I bought them myself, so sounds like approximately $1150 for the install work and the alignment.

I purchased the HD's, M030 springs and sway bars from Gert about a year ago, my labor was $500 plus $125 for four wheel alignment. I drive a '97 C4S

Vic - If they follow the instructions for setting the ride height, then you really do not need to do the corner balance. The install for just the suspension is 4-6 hours with most shops, and then an alignment.

$1150 for install & align is pretty typical, maybe higher end of the spectrum. You could probably find somewhere to save a couple hundred $, but this price isn't so bad if they're a good shop.

The price sounds about right.
If I had to do it I would look into the PSS9's from Bob and find someone
to help you put them on, then take it in to a shop for all the adjustments.
It would save you money and you'll get a better suspension.
I guess it all depends on your driving style. Chris

I totally agree, but if you are willing to pay that, I would do it at the dealer.
I did my alignment at the dealer last month, kinematic adjustment obliged,
I found that they did not bother to change all suspension bolts, rear and front,
and gave me a 1 year free return for fine adjustments on the suspension, if I didn't like the handling.
I really think this is neat.

for info, I paid 300 euros tax included for the align. at the dealer,
another dealer wanted 550.

One shop wanted to charge $1600 + alingment as they had to do bleed the brakes etc. They flatly refused to cut the old strut to get the brake line out. Another shop quoted $1100 which included the alingment. I eventually did it myself......the quoted price seems fair...

$1150 for labor sounds fair for the install, corner balance and full align (including K toe). Expect $250+/- for the full alignment portion. Anything less than that would likely exclude the K toe, which is a very necessary part of the alignment. If the alignment shop gives you a blank stare when you mention K toe or tells you that it isn't necessary, go somewhere else. Quickly.

$54.95 for the Hazet Socket and $14.99 for a 12 pack of beer! $250 for thw full alignment.

About a month ago I helped my buddy install PSS9's on his car and it took us 3 hours to do the left side and 1.5 hrs to do the right. That was while drinking beer and taking breaks to head to Sears and watch the football game.

Good luck. I'm going to be installing JIC coli-overs on my car next month- I'll post pictures
