Can anyone provide it? I looked through the PET and searched, but no joy...

Jeff:

The actual **** is the same; I just looked at an RS/CS here in the shop. The lever, shift rod, and fork are the RS-specific parts.

To find RS parts in PET you need to select a region other than USA/CAN. The RS does have a different ****, Porsche part no. #993-424-075-30-8YR which is the same as one of the Tequipment *****.

Thanks Jason,

I was in ROW, saw the part # for the RS shift fork, rod and lever, as stated, no info on the ****. Didn't think it would was a tech equipment part #?

The totally original RS/CS sitting here has the standard black ****; same as the production (not Tequipment) part.

OK, I found the part number on the PET, but there is no RS classification specific to the shift ****. Nor is it labeled as such in the tech equipment section?

Anyhow, thanks for the number.

PET could be wrong (it wouldn't be the first time) and the latest update I have is only 165 (which is really old) and obviously seeing one in person always trumps PET but there are several reasons for an unmolested clubsport M003 to have a different ****.

Hi Jason:

My PET is 205, Revision 6.5 and shows nothing special for the RS ****.

well, mine must be an unrevised PET, as that is not on my page. (i had a feeling I was going to get a post like that) thanks for your effort Jason.

Steve, Friendly Skies aren't as friendly as they used to be , but all is fine. Hope all's well for you! I'd like to swing by one these days, plan on having my car a long time, so you know I'll be back!

I have several even older versions (going back possibly to the late nineties) that are great for reference material because they contain the deleted part numbers that the newer versions are missing. When someone can't find a part number I usually go back to those older versions and the number are there or in a TSB. In the newer versions you can sometimes find the parts in the "new and dropped parts" section but it is a real PITA to locate anything that way. If you didn't save the older versions and would like a copy I can put a disc in the mail for you.

The older versions of PET are where you will find the actual part numbers that our cars were delivered with and not the "inventory reduced to save money" numbers that PAG has switched to in the newer versions of PET. The main thing is you can't rely on a single source of reference material (the newest version of PET that I have is only 2 years old). Each country has a different importer and they all specify different "stock" items. So in this case what Steve is seeing might not be the same as what he'd see in an RS that originated from a different country.

Hi Jeff:

I kinda surmised that things are not the way they used to be,... Please come by anytime you wish. If you going to be in PDX on a weekend, give me a holler and I'll come down and open up.

Jason:

You are right; the newer versions of PET are not as detailed as previous versions. Porsche's cost-saving measures continue to disappoint,.....I'll have to see if I saved any older ones.
