Robin,

I believe the valve guide issue remains until 1998 model. In order to replace the belt, you have to drop the engine on F355. Have you thought about Euro 360?

I too was once called by the siren known as Ferrari and actually had a 360 on order. However before I pulled the trigger I saw friends with Ferrari's put up with shoddy treatment by the dealer (outright lying), an F1 transmission leaving one stranded 5 times (this was a brand new 575M btw) and another with $11K engine out tune-up/engine re-sealing bill for an F355.

I understand the allure and I know that the newer Ferrari's have gotten much, much better ... but I want to drive my car and not have to worry about it working. I think I will stick with Porsches.

Ummmm, is that yellow sign a price tag? It has a few rows of some kind of text. I assume they are all zeros?!?

It's a plaque describing the engine. I forgot what it says. Shoulda taken a pic of it too. In any case, won't fit in Robin's 355.

As much as I love the Porsche's flat six I can't help but admit that tha 355's motor is a also a thing of beauty.

Does this mean the p-car website will no longer be supported?

ROTFLMAO! No way in hell! The p-car.com site will always remain as I still love the 993 (I did a 10 year domain registration) please don't get me wrong, I am not letting go of the 993 in my heart at all, it is just financially I have to sacrifice the 993 in order to be able to afford the 355. The 996 is out of the questions as it doesn't have any value.
