Pic
Hopefully it looks worse than it is. It's too bad there's a limit on pic size in this case as the full one MB file really shows the nitty gritty and is definitely more "grimace worthy."

Ouch! Sorry to hear about that. Glad you're okay. Take your time choosing the right shop. This is clearly not just a light tap.

OUCH! At least you can get a turbo bumper w/o bumperettes! Good thing is you are OK and nobody was hurt.

Yikes! The car did an excellent job of protecting you from the looks of things. Let us know who you go with, and see the "after" pics. What's the progress so far?

Sorry for the etermity in getting back. Unfortunately, I was too worried about ballooning costs once the car was apart and the actual damage ascertained. So, I begrudgingly sold the car to LA Porsche Dismantlers for salvage. I probably could have done better parting it out but I wasn't up to the task. I'll post a "farewell" now that I'm here.

About how fast was the car going? There has been some discussion on another thread about air bag deployment consideration when looking at a used 993 to buy!
At driver's school today, I kinda went off track and smacked into the wall head on (offset driver's side). Air bags went off but I'm fine (save some air bag burns) It looks really ugly but it seems everything from the gas tank back is ok. Hood, fender bumpers, oil cooler, battery (spilled acid everywhere), and whatever part of the frame in the front corner - not so ok.
I'd like to know any recommened shops with air cooled 911 experience. Or, if you know of a general body shop that you think would do a great job on a 993, that's good also. LA, San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley, Santa Clarita Valley please.
Now excuse me while I go weep.

I was busy trying to recover and watching in stupeficication as a conrcrete wall filled my windscreen but my guess would be it was an offset frontal impact of between 40-50 mph.

TT, thanks for the updates...what track were you at? And you definitely should get back into a 993, when the time is right.
