It's baaaaaack!
Finally, after 5 weeks that seemed like an eternity, I got my car back from the shop!
I'm falling in love with my car all over again. There isn't a single scratch, ding, or road rash. I really missed driving it.
The paint job turned out better than I expected it. I replaced all the rubber pieces while I was at it. It sure refreshens the whole car.
So, if you don't see much of me online for the next few days...you know were I am.

She's looking good... glad to hear that it wasn't longer. You should wait until the paint is cured (not sure if you had some paint work in front) and get a clear bra on her.
Enjoy, I know you will.... you must be like a kid in a candy store right now.

The repairs was only the rear bumper, the center reflector and a small ding in the lid. There is another post with pictures there.
The other guy's insurance paid to have pretty much the whole rear of the car resprayed so the paint would blend. I decided to reprayed the rest of the car while it was there and have the whole car refreshed. It was worth it.
I kept the car stock as the slope would have been deep and steep, turbo front, bumperettes, etc, etc.
I can't do anything to the paint for 40 days, no wax, etc. All I can do is look at it. Kid in a Candy store indeed!
Here are some more close up pictures.

I left it like that for a day but being all white back there, it looked kind of bare.
I even have a 911 emblem that I thought of using, but I ended going with the Carrera script back there again. I think that extra black script adds to the contrast on a white car.
Funny thing is I have debadged all of my other cars as soon as I get them from the dealer.

Looks very nice...with the rubber, it is brand spanking new!!! Don't forget some sort of clear bra or stongard...now is the time (after 40 days of course).

When you say 'new rubber', do you mean all of the body gaskets & seals? If not, what items were replaced?

Yes, all the body gaskets, rubber and anything that is not metal with the exception of the front window seal:
1) Body to rear bumper gaskets (2)
2) Body to front bumper gaskets (2)
3) front bumper / front of hood rubber seal (1)
4) door handle gaskets (2 per side)
5) Mirror to body rubber pieces (2 - one per side)
6) Front Fender to body seals (2) - To replace these, you have to losen the bolts that join the front fenders to the body as the new pieces are sandwiched between the front fender and the top center cowl piece.
7) rear bumperettes (2) - only one was damaged, but there were color differences so the insurance paid to replace both.
I think that makes for all of the body gaskets.
I was also going to replace all of the wheel liners, but the shop removed them and painted them flat black and they look brand new.
