Noah,
Well done. Pretty soon you're going to be in there with a heat gun and putty knife getting rid of more than a few pounds of carpet and goo. Nice find, and impressive post - especially with this hard to please crowd!

Ah, I've already been down that road, and going too far in that direction is one of the reasons I ended up with a 993. My '77 Carrera 3.0 is at this point 90 percent track and 10 percent street -- I don't think there's a bolt on that car that I haven't at some point had my hands on -- and now I need a car with AC that's reasonably quiet, reliable, and comfortable. The 993 fits the bill nicely, and other than a 911ST or a 356 Speedster, I think it's one of the most striking Porsches ever made. The most I'm going to do to this car is lighten it up a couple hundred pounds, throw in some race seats and maybe sway bars, and then drive the **** out of it on the track (oh, and every day on the street, too).

I might not even bother to respray the stone-chipped nose.

Cool Welcome to the club....

You have a beautifully prepared car...it will be too much fun. I have had my 1997 993 since December 1999...paid over $60,000 for it, ouch! It was worth it...every penny. And when I got the car, wifey made me swear that I would not track the car...my promise was good for about 9 months...by the following September (2000), I was out on the track with "Baby". We have been going at it ever since. BTW, "Baby" is not wifey, in case you didn't guess.

By the way, rumor has it that you have already scored some 993 stuff through the 993 Board! How did I know that???? Hmmmmm?

As Chris Walrod says, "Is this a great place, or what?
