Default OT: Wifeys new ride

Well not that new since we got it earlier this year. Its a 05 330 with the ZHP package, basically a high performance package with a long list of cool stuff like real brake ducts (image 2), alcantara steering wheel, shifter boot and E-brake boot, more aggressive cams and VANOS software with ~10 more HP. M3 wheels, sport seats and red instrument needles, reworked damper valving and increased spring rates. Kinda cool.

Other stuff include auto level and steerable Zenons, Nav, sport and premium packages.

This is the first BMW product we have owned and I like the way it drives, great torque and excellent road feel. Best of all, Pam really really likes it

That's the model my son got. Took months to find in Imola red.
Love the interior.
FWIW, BMW will replace that steering wheel with a new perforated leather one. Looks real cool and won't distengrate in your hands.

I loved my E46...wish I still had it, but we had to go larger for baby purposes. I think BMW has the secret recipe for sedans. Nothing comes close.

That one it sweet, Chris, and you're right, "If mama ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy!"

Nice one Chris. At first, I thought it was an M3. The 330i is a great car with that wonderful BMW straight six. Enjoy!

Nice. I looked at ZHP sedans before settling on the M5.

We're kinda looking for similar.......holding out for a 993 cab so we can have triplets though. (If we do an E46, then we'd have 2 sets of twins.) Only concern I had with the ZHP cars is a track friend had to lemon law his 6-spd sedan because it would never run correctly.

That's the good stuff alright. I got my wife a 2005 325 with the sport suspension and 17s. Doesn't have the power of your car but the ride and handling are incredible. Very taut but somehow nicely damped too. Car feels way more solid than the 993. Drove it the other day and wondered, why doesn't the 993 feel this nice over bumps?

Hey Chris... nice ride. My wife has a 330 convertible as well (although a 2002).

The important part is that she's happy... believe me, I realize this as the First Law of the Universe.

Take care...

Very nice Chris. Interesting that some of our wives have similar taste in cars. Or is it that we have similar taste in women that like nice cars? We've been looking at one very similar. Enjoy and congrats.

BMWs are the kings of sedans IMO. Great steering, responsive handling, good power.
