Default OT: Who has an MBA?

So, it seems like we have a lot of graduate degrees on here, so who has an mba? Where did you go? and what are you doing with your degree?

Im finishing up my first year as a part time MBA at the Stern School of Business @ NYU. Plan on continuing my career in finance.

Anybody else?

I agree with 993inNC - school of life is the best learning environment, even though I did the whole mba, ivory tower strategy consulting, blah blah blah, stuff....

BTW - this is my post.... wait for it.... 69....on rennlist. Oh, the humor, it kills me.

Quadcammer finds a job through rennlist. Phenomenal scam. If only I had a pcar when I was in school - better job and dates. Awesome - have to love it.

As for recruiting - we have on-campus recruiting at Stern (top 3 strat firm), if you are interested, PM me with your resume and I can introduce you to the school leads (I help lead recruiting for the whole southern office across all schools)

BUT, you need to pay your rennlist dues or no dice. AND, you need to provide details/pics of your car as part of the interview process so I can test your conceptual thinking. Track times would be good as well...

Can I play by proxy?
My wife did the double:
Wharton undergrad (crappy Ivy Leage school)
U Chicago GSB

Now she's at home taking care of our 10 month old.

I'm trying to ignore her loans as I shop for a 993 anyway.

I do what I can.

Unfortunately it seems like your business is based a bit more around corporate strategy than I care to go (that five forces model, yowzers). I generally trend more toward financial instruments and markets. However, I do truly appreciate your offer, and if I change my mind after my 150,000th cash flow NPV, I will most certainly take you up on it.

As soon as I buy a Porsche, I plan on membership, without question. However, right now im an MB/mustang cobra guy. However, I found a beautiful 96 C4s on here that might get the best of me.

My goal is to do a part-time MBA at NYU (a collegue is doing it now), but have to take the GMATs again. At the same time, i'm still debating whether it will help in furthering my career (IT) or venture into a different path. My immediate thoughts are that an MBA will not help in the IT industry as much as it would for Finance and other industries. If I do attend it would purely be for personal goals. Thoughts anyone?

Good luck with it!
