Unfortunately, that is incorrect. The pics above are mine and I ordered the 964 part for my 95 NVR C4, but it ended up being incorrect. I had to send the new one pictured above back and get the 993 part. You do need the 964 part for heater bypass (I have not done this yet).

My non-VRam 9/94 build C2 takes the 993 part as well.

Thanks Jason - didn't notice there was a later thread going on this topic.
I patched the rip on mine with Gorilla tape but it did not hold out - is this the results from hitting the redlines?

Default Rubber shroud is busted

My rubber shroud has a tear in it too. Does anybody know if it's safe to drive until I get it to a shop? I live in Houston where it is a 100 degrees right now. Thanks.

It does decrease the cooling to the heads/cylinders. If you have to drive it I would just put some duct tape on till you can get a replacement

Just took a looksee at mine.

Whoah! ...a hairline crack in the top part - just discernable.

Guess I'm going to become a member of the air-duct club.

Before it disintegrates, I'll take it apart and (will) check the (original) part number, but I suspect, coz mine is a 1996 with varioram, that I'll be a candidate for the (M64.23/24): 993-106-403-00 component.

Benton, I might be taking your 'spare' off your hands! (And yes, I have paypal.)

Easy.

And this topic ought to be stickied by now. I know somewhere here, probably about 20% of us have asked.
