993 sold to a fellow Rennlister, got his GT3
993 Friends,
I have sold my 993 to another Rennlister, who will certainly introduce himself shortly. He knows how fortunate he is to own a great example (if I may say so) of a great car. It was modified to a high level, and was great on the track, where it spent about 16,000 miles in my hands, teaching me how to improve my driving. We traded (so to speak), and I am now a water cooled type, which will take a little getting used to. The GT3 is really a brother to the 993, with parts of the same engine and transmission. It is not pretty in the same way, though. I will always come here to the 993 list first...to find out what is really going on... and then begin the long learning curve on the new platform. I needed a change to learn different things, as has been my tendency in my career as well. I can't wait for the snow to melt so I can begin.
Thank you all for providing so much helpful information and friendship for the past 6 years. And please welcome the enthusiastic and congenial new owner of my great 993. I will continue to learn here in 993 world!

I saw your car at Howard Cooper- having the PPI done after your purchased it!!!
I would love the opportunity to sit in it and dream.......

I know this car and Chuck's old car's new owner. I love both cars a lot, I thought Chuck's new GT3 is one of the best I've seen and his old 993 certainly is one of the coolest!
Congrats to both!

Chuck: Congrats. As far as track cars go, you cannot argue with the upgrade to the GT3. Your 993 still provides the fond memory as my first drive in a 993. What a fantastic car. The GT3 should provide some new excitement, speed and challenges. I know you will enjoy it.
