Default New Addition Coming

Since we moved out in the country to our small horse farm last November, I have been driving 60 miles a day to deliver and pick up my little girl from her private school....the gas usage in the '03 ML 500 and my '07 Ford 150 Lariat SC 4X4 was exceedingly painful....

So I sold my ML 500 and my new bride's '05 C320 4matic and we got her into a '08 Volvo XC 90 AWD, which she loves......I tried very hard to buy a new '07 997 C2 here in VA ( long ugly story ) and a new '08 Cayman from a dealership close to Rennlist; but, this too was an exercise in futility....

Anyway, I called a dealer in Greenwich CT, no prior relationship, and within in 12 hours, I bought a new '08 Cayman, Basalt Black over Sand Beige with great options.....

On next Tuesday, little Annie and I are taking the train to NYC....we go over and pick up the Porsche and meander home at our pace with overnight stops that strike our fancy.......

It is not a 993 this time.....but is new and under warranty for seven years and 100,000 miles....that will take me to Age 66

Nice. That'll be a nice drive.
What sort of horses are you in to?

Excellent.

We factory-ordered an '07 XC90 last year and my wife has been very pleased with it. No issues and she's at 15,000+ miles at this stage. Oil changes are a breeze and it takes the same Castrol GTX as my '01 4Runner.

If only I could convince her that a set of Heico wheels are a necessary safety upgrade....

Berkley,

Nice addition. I am totally unbiased but I think you'll love the Cayman. I get 23 MPG (combined) and 29 MPG (highway) driving in my base Cayman. It is a great utility car that is fun to drive to boot.

Dropping your little one off to school in a Cayman. You'll be the coolest dad in the whole school I bet.

Nice! If you can't have a 993, a Cayman isn't a bad choice either and having it under warranty is excellent. Enjoy the drive home. Please post pics when you get her.

Default Thanks folks

Should be a lot of fun....Annie was adopted in Russia at age nine months and she is now just eleven.....And I am about to turn 59

Pong I read your threads about the Cayman....they were of influence on my thinking

As to horses, we have hunter/jumpers and they are used for fox hunting too....Oh, I am the groom

The Cayman is a great car. I just wished it had a sunroof option. Congrats on your purchase.
