Some shots from the run. See the snow on the mountain in the last photo, man-made but still hard to believe as hot as it was by the afternoon.

Sounds like I should have made this one. Unfortunately, I needed yesterday to get ready for Summit point next weekend.

Default GREAT RUN!!

Hey guys,

As expressed by everyone here so far, it was a GREAT RUN! We were able to stay together for the entire drive and I don't believe we lost anyone (except for maybe the NSX...sorry!)! I'm glad everyone had a good time despite the suspect weather, which turned out to be great as forcasted (surprisingly)! We had some nice spurts in the beginning with some slow movers in between, but I think I can speak for everyone the Catskills leg of the trip made up for everything! Like Ilko said, it did seem like the authorities were waiting for us, but then again it was the end of the month to make their numbers. But, I definitly won't mind doing this drive again.

A BIG thanks to Bob, Ilko and my SO, Geneva for making this run what it was...safe and fun! Discovering a safe and enjoyable route for eveyone is the most time consuming and hardest part of organizing these events. If it wasn't for Bob and Ilko helping to plan these routes this would never happen. So a big thanks to them for their time and effort.

Also, big thanks to Geneva as my navigator since we (she) was leading the pack of 20+. She said she has never lead 20+ Porsches before...now she has.

Chuck....great pics and commentary! I should of known something funny was going to come out of that pose. For the record, my teeth aren't that bad. Glad to have you and you are welcome anytime!

Well...it was another good one for the books. We have never done a Summer run, but I have a good feeling that will change.

Here are some of my pics....

Enjoy!

I was at the rear of the pack with the NSX, and the BMW never met up with us.

Sorry we missed you George. It was a sight to behold. I was the lead car and everytime I would look back I would see a sea of Porsche headlights snaking down the curves. It was awesome.

Hey A, Next time I'll be one of them.....

Last minute change of plans prevented me from being one of them this time around

Thanks again to Ilko, Bob, and Arrwin. I totally enjoyed the run - it was awesome and for sure the best run I have ever been on. I run around on the back roads of NJ but this run really put it all together - great mix of sweepers, S's and some flat out straights. I did hit 125 at one point trying to catch up to the silver GT3 - what a blast.

Arrwin, I would be glad to help out in any way I can for future runs - just give me a shout.

Evan, can you send me the Skip Barber stuff? You can send it to tomiervolino@valcor.com, thanks.

I forgot your name, but whomever owns the red 993 C4S with the Turbo S wing, give me a call if you ever want to sell your car.

Iilko, your videos are great, thanks.

I'm glad you guys liked the run so much! We were worried that it might be too long...

Too long?!?
Are you kidding?

It was perfect. A little warm-up through northwestern CT and the Berkshires,
a fuel and comfort stop, then a terrific run through the mountains!

The weather was good, the traffic not too heavy, what's not to like?

You're right. What concerned us the most was that traffic was much heavier the weekend before when we test-drove the route.
