JoAnn,

Another move? Well having left AZ a couple of years ago I can say Prescott is a great place. There is quite a bit of 993 action in a little place down the road-Phoenix. Quite an active PCA chapter too. Have a sane move and enjoy. Plenty of great roads over there.

Working your way back to Arkansas??

I love Prescott and the whole Northern AZ area. Expensive, but probably no more so than SoCal. Taxes might be lower, too.

LOL... It appears that I am huh??? AR.. AZ.... only two states in between.... if you go the southern route and avoid OK

It is pretty pricey, but not as pricey as So. Cal. still is. Taxes are lower and lower state income tax. Gasoline is a whole dollar less per gallon than we are paying here.

We have friends in Phoenix who are in PCA so that transition will be easy.

Wow..... here we go again. Our move should be easier this time in that the 356 is for sale and the model collection has gone up for sale and there are three guys interested. We DO NOT want to have to move that again. It's time for a new beginning. ONE PORSCHE (the 993) in the garage. That will be something new. Really downsize this time.

Hope our house sells relatively quickly 'cause Robert will get tired of a small efficiency apartment rather quickly.

Welcome to AZ. Prescott has some great rides and senic views, all four seasons, and great PCA chapters close by Check out Phoenix and Tucson chapters. In september the New Mexico chapter is planning a great Escape program. I live in Phoenix have a 993 cab and a 2000 coupe. Look forward to meeting you and Robert on a ride sometime.

I'm about 95 miles north of Prescott in Flagstaff.
Welcome to AZ and watch out for the State Highway ***** NOW with portable photo radar on rural roads.
Buy a good map and enjoy the reservation roads.

Thanks for all the tips guys.

I'm a little scared and a little excited at the same time. I' scared about having to sell this house. And excited about the new adventure. I've not lived in a rental place since I was 23....

Hmm... can I ACT 23 again???

Looking forward to meeting y'all soon.

No one mentioned Yarnell hill? I remember stories of a '73RS that took a dive over the side a few years before I got there for college at ASU. 89 eastbound into Prescott has to be one of the most..........interesting........roads anywhere. Westbound isn't too bad, either. Just before it intersects with 93, that loooooooooooooong downhill divided and straight as an arrow stretch, is the fastest I've ever driven.

Anyway, lots of good PCA folks/events, some who I still know 20 years after I moved away.

We went up Yarnell Hill...... in the truck On our way to Prescott last weekend.
Robert kept on saying he wished we were in the 993. I told him if we were in the 993, I'd probably be (excuse me guys) barfing.
As was, Speedster's tongue was turning green and thank goodness she didn't mess up crate or mess up allover me!
Oh and that straight you were talking about? That must be the one where I remember looking over at Robert once and asking him just how fast was he going. The mile markers sure were going by faster than usual.

Really, it is a GREAT ROAD. I was just a little surprised (actually very surprised) at the lack of guard rails where there really should be guard rails. It's along way down some of those sharp turns on the hill.

Oh and BTW: THANKS GUYS!!!
