Steve - do not forget the front protection bar!!!! Mine has saved me several times from nasty bad things happening to my front spoiler!!! I have had M030 and HD's on my car (set just a little above RS height) for more then 5 years and REALLY like the set up. You will be very pleased and amazed that you didn't make the change earlier. As others have said - make sure you get a high quality alignment also - 4 wheel and don't forget the kinematic toe adjustment.

If you dont like the sound of scraping, you will hate it even more without a protection bar.

As much as I have manipulated my car to avoid scraping, it still happens now and then. Especially since it was lowered last year. And its not a sound that grows on me!!

I had thought about this but when I called the dealer to order the springs, I asked him if I need a Front Protection Bar. He said "Nahhh, not unless you dial it down really low", or something like that.

Do I really need one? Where should I get it? What would one expect an indie to charge to install it?

I am sick about the PM I got today from a kind gent. He PM'd me to let me know I could buy his new HD's and Springs for $1100 delivered with some of the other goodies thrown in! Arggggghhhhh. I just paid $500 more than that. I hate throwing away $500 but I already called and charged the parts on my credit card so I'm trying to "let it go". I'm certainly not going to call these 2 places back and try to back out of the orders... it's not my style.

That's life. Today, it's still pretty sweet. Saw the new movie "Tropic Thunder" on the way home and had a good laugh. You'll be surprised to see that Tom Cruise is in this movie. He's totally unrecognizeable.

Steve,
Congrats on ordering the parts. As for the front protection bar - you did more work under your car on Monday than what is needed to install it. Trust me. Indie, Schmindie.

The FPB is an easy install - a 1 on a scale of 10. And you absolutely need one.

Thanks Porscheralph. Ok then, I guess I need to get one. Anyone got an extra one for sale for cheap? After doing a search on Rennlist it looks like Gert's is the only reliable, best one to get?

Might as well add a strut brace why your at it. The KLA tucks behind the carpet in the trunk. They are $135.00

Holy crap Batman... So I need one of these guys too?
Is this the best one to get?
I was going to get one for my BMW at one point but never did. Didn't think I needed it (I probably should have). It was a "Stong" strut brace I think it's called. Any of you guys have this Klain strut brace?

Hey, I'll get it if you think I need it. Need? Ha... that's a funny word

Steve,

Dude, you don't need a strut brace. Save your money.
