Talking Liquid Red

Sunday it was a gorgeous day up here and armed with my new toy (porter cable) plus new detailing products I dared to tackle my cabrio. The results are absolutely stunning and I think that my cabrio has never looked better! The paint looks so glossy and liquid that it went beyond my expectations.
Having read the concours board, autopia etc and gotten advise from the Pro's I decided since my paint was just a tad dull and had minimal spider webs to go light and see.
I was going to use a mix of Mezerna products and Zymol. I was advised to start with Mezerna Intensive Polish, then go to Mezerna Micro Polish PO85RD. then to sealant/wax. Since the guards red is a single stage paint I decided to skip the initial compound stage just to see if the PO85RD will do the trick since it has a mild "cut". I used an Edge 2000 Blue foam pad which has a tiny cut and went to work after I clayed the car. As expected the pad quickly turned red and upon inspection it was exactly what the paint needed. I was stunned to see the paint come alive! I even did my lenses which sparkled after the wipe down! This took me a couple of hours, then I used Zymol HD to "clean" the paint in preparation for the Zymol wax that followed. I bought the Zymol "Rouge" which is aimed for red cars. Wow... After the Mezerna treatment the paint was amazing, after the Zymol it turned into Liquid Red!
So here are some pics I took:

Wow... The paint looks amazing! What speed did you use initially on the PC for the first cut? Did you also use the PC for the Zymol appplications?

VERY nice job.
You must be very pleased.

With paint like that you won't be able to claim dry miles only!!!
