Immobilizer Remote Battery
Hey all,
I had a bit of a scare today that made me realize I would be utterly screwed should the battery die in the remote. Does anyone know what size battery it is or where I can order said battery online?
Thanks in advance,

Is this the large switchblade or have you already upgraded. If the switch blade..they sell the battery at Rite Aid or any watch battery place. I know as I did get "utrerly screed" at 10:00 PM one night. I now carry an extra in the glove box.

MN21 or A23 is the correct battery (same size case) .... often called 21/23

battery
I went to a battery specialty store a few weeks ago, and picked up a couple of A 23's. I just keep them in the glove box, and keep a mini screwdriver kit in the car as well.
Next, the spare DME relay.....

Thanks for the help - mine's the upgraded remote.
The sequence is different in each car - it is the four digit alarm code (which is different than the four digit radio code). The local, completely useless dealer couldn't get the alarm code last time I was there. Some ***** at the Bentley service desk pipes in with "alarm codes went out in the eighties." Porsche service was just as useless, but they offered to program a new remote for me for only $100. I was honored, their hourly service rate is $220. The local dealer is only ever of use when I'm missing a small fastener or something in the middle of a job.

Pretty sure the battery is exactly the same for either remote as it's only the case that's changing, not the internals.

Procedure is listed in the manual; you have to know the 4-digit code for your car as Charlie said above. I keep a copy of the procedure in the car along with the spare remote battery and spare DME relay.
Not a bad idea to practice the procedure before you really need to use it
