Default Sign of the apocalypse?

Whilst cruising the truspeed site I came across this: the horror the horror

A few hours later, while cruising on the byways with the top down and my wife in the car, I said "what would be a true sign of the weird times? what kind of car would you find in a Porsche reseller's web site?" SHe nailed it on the first guess.

We are in the end times, indeed. Just remember, Gore got a Nobel prize

The Prius has been on their site for weeks. Shocked me when I first saw it as well.

Must have traded the Prius in for a Carrera GT as soon as gas prices got back to $2/gallon.

TruSpeed is in the money making business. They buy nice cars with strong demand. Prius certainly qualifies. Whether anyone is looking for one there is a different issue all together.

It's all about the gross. They're going to make a large gross on that car if it sells for that much money, with those many miles.

Don't laugh, but I, as many of us were thinking... "Prius - yeah, baby" when gas was $4.50 a gallon just a few months ago.

Are people that stupid to pay that amount for a used Prius? You can get a brand new one for that price, and who cares if you have to wait.

Gas prices dont bother me--whether it was $4 a gallon or a $1.50ish which it is now in Utah.

I just couldnt find myself driving a Prius, even as I chug along in a 12mpg Navigator.

I'm just envious that you're driving today with the topdown! I noticed the Prius a few weeks ago as I perused the site and thought it was odd.

Here in Minnesocold it's near single-digit temps and snowing.

A car that is classified as "green" and has dead cows inside? Interesting take on conserving the environment and saving the earth. What would PETA say? Hybrids are coming from Porsche now, maybe they want to become familiar with them before anyone else.

Top down: not bad for December! And that's in relatively frigid San Francisco (relative to the rest of California, that is). Gotta love gloabl warming -- or at least take advantage of it....
