I may be interested if you don't get the $3K. I know 6 months ago these would fly out the door, I not sure what will happen today.....

i would check out the description before sitting in these.

tears in the leather, wires cut???

hmmmm...seems to me another $1200 will have to be spent getting these to the condition of a $3000 pair???

Wires are no big deal at all - so long as the motors are fine. I cut the wires in the 996 sport seats to install into my 993. The plugs did not match, all you have to do is put bullet connectors on and plug into the correct holes. This is nothing to be afraid of - so long as the motors are sound.

I think he has done a good job of posting the problems with the seats - the pictures document the bad spots. A recover on these with Gahh leather would be close to $2K (ask me how I know), but I think you are a ways away from that judging from the pictures. Go sit in your seats and take a good look, if you pull them out and set them in the garage where you can see 360 degrees around them, you will find some scuffing and issues.

I would be very suprised if these sold in the described condition for that amount of money. Another Rennlister with marble-grey sport seats (a MUCH harder color to come by than black), in much better (pictured and listed) condition was able to squeeze only $2750 out about a month ago.

I'm going to have to disagree with you regarding the seats in my garage queen, and I'm sure there are some other Rennlisters who are even more compulsive about the condition of their cars.

Garage queens aside....and I do not mean to isult your seats - no harm intended.

I would say that marble grey sport seats are harder to find, and there is a much smaller market for them. Black seats go in more cars, both in black interior cars and many people put them with other color interiors. Blsck is commonly an accent color in the tan interiors, etc.

I don't know if he gets $3K, I hope he does not. I would pay $1500-1800 with little consern based on the pictures - and I am not in the market for the seats - I just put in the 996 sport seats!

I agree, from the look of those pics I'd say $2k max would be a fair price but I wish you the best of luck with your sale.

I am still not sure why these seats are so sought after considering there are much better seats for equal to or a bit more. I know they are authentic but still. They are far from 'super supportive'.

Hmmm.... the market speaks the truth ... no bids ....

1. The driver's seat front edge has some small gouges. These cannot be seen once the seat is down in the car's pan.

2. The driver's seat top edge has some gouges. It looks like someone passed some sharp cargo over the top of the seat while it was folded forward.

Marble gray just sold three weeks ago for 2750. The lack of supply would make these more valuable in my opinion.

I say these go for 1800.... 3k will be a very tough number to get.

Kcreager1 - No harm, no foul!

I too would be interested in the $1-$1500 range, recognizing that I'd have to re-cover them - which is usually what I'm facing as Classic Grey is even HARDER to come by.

I should bid the $3k just to spite you guys.....maybe use them for gaming chairs for my son's PS3. When they get worn out (or more so), I can recover in Marble Grey and make a killing!

Just kidding with you guys. 6 months ago - different story....these sell for $3K. The seller has been quiet - I would pay 1800 just to try them in my car and keep them in the garage. I know that I can sell them later, just like I know I will have another 993 (without 993 sport seats) inthe future.
