Moses smell the roses!
I thought the 'stint' that the missus went thru' (breast surgery, chemo, 5 years of pills...) was a doozie -- but what you've described makes that pale in comparison.
I truly take my hat off to you for being (and remaining) so UPBEAT!
Not many of us would be able to 'take' such life-beatings without them taking their toll on us physically and/or mentally -- again, I take my hat off to you.
Mega-luck on your up-coming surgery and here's to a life-speedbump-free 2009!

Chuck,
It will be a breeze for a healthy man like you!
I elected a radical prostatectomy this past summer, being a good surgical candidate - and having evaluated alternative therapies: exactly 48 hours after crawling onto the gurney, I walked out of the surgical ward to the parking lot unassisted ..... so you will do just fine.
3-4 months from now, may your PSA ( blood analysis) be non-detectable!!

Good luck chuck. While I don't know you, I love your positive attitude.
A year ago tomorrow, I was diagnosed with cancer (hodgkins lymphoma). Had my biopsy on dec 26th last year. Spent 2008 in full chemo and radiation mode.
I decided on 364 days ago that I was going to find the positives in the whole experience and have as much fun as possible with it. 2008 was a great year for me - one of the best. I met a ton of people with incredible stories and attitudes, I dumped my 90 hour a week job doing management consulting, and have focused on what matters in life.
Yes, I had fun with it. You gotta love that you lose all hair on your body, glow in the dark, and can flirt with all of the hotty nurses. I even made t-shirts - see below. Puts the stock market stuff in perspective.

Hey, Chuck,
Wow, what a story. Your positivity is amazing, and is what will get you through this ordeal.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Best wishes on the surgery, and Happy Holidays to you and your family!

Chuck, if you're in the Germantown near Memphis my wife has a brother and sister-in-law in Memphis, I could talk her into a visit with them over the holidays and I could swing by wherever you're staying for a Porsche chat if you're up for it? I can PM you my cell if you think you might be up for it. I've got a whole bunch of car mags if you want to catch up on some casual reading.
Let me know. Even if you don't want the company, best of luck with the surgery and the recovery.

Chuck,
You are an inspiration to us all. What a great attitude. And for those that don't know him, he's truely a great guy, and a real "Mensche". He's too shy to post his picture, but this is when we all met in Dallas.
My best thoughts for you, buddy.

I won't wish you luck, as I can see you won't need it with the positive attitude you project. I do wish you a speedy recovery.
I saw you were from Germantown and wondered if you worked for Fredex. Jason answered that.
From another Fedexer,
