Default UPDATE!!-Inventiva Front License Plate Bracket-Group Buy-UPDATE!!!

I got pulled over yesterday by the Los Angeles Police. The officers told me they were part of a "task force" created to cite people for not having a front license plate. I guess between the Rampart corruption scandal payouts and the incompetence of the LAPD in general, they feel obligated to shake down their citizenry for pennies. It's probably much easier than actually solving real crimes. OK I'm done venting

So now I must put on a front license plate to get past this ticket. I looked at a few options, but one that looked the best and was the least intrusive was one I found here on Rennlist from Inventiva Concepts: http://www.inventivaconcepts.com/fplk.html

I contacted the guy who makes them, and he said he doesn't make them anymore. However, he told me if I had a minimum of 5 orders, he would make a batch. They are $45 plus shipping, according to the website.

For all those whose states require a front license plate, it looks like the states will start enforcing this more and more as it's easy money for lazy cops to go after.

If there are 5 people who like/need a front license plate bracket like this, let me know and I'll see about a group buy.

^^^^^what he said....but Euro Turbo bumper (looks like what he has from avatar...)

Haven't had you're issue yet with a ticket, but I guess this is insurance for if/when it happens...

I'm in 100%. I called not too long ago and he said he stopped making them. Hopefully he'll change his mind if we get enough folks.

Isn't there one that screws into the tow hook? I like that one for a non- permanent solution.

I have the Inventiva on my wife's Targa....excellent product.
IMHO, looks much better than the tow hook mount license plate.

Yeah, I thought about the tow hook one as well, even though it doesn't look so nice attached.

The good thing about the tow hook one is it's easily taken off. The bad thing is its easily taken off by thieves as well. Here in Los Angeles, it's not a matter of if, but when, some joker would take it.

Can someone please explain to me the benefit of that license plate bracket? Because I only see downsides. It's not like your bumper doesn't already have holes in it. And by lowering the license plate you end up channeling less air to the radiators in the front. It also looks a bit out of place IMO.

Here is the one with the tow hook. I have them on both of my cars and I'm very happy with.
