Winter Drive
It's the first dry, clean and somewhat warm day here in Boston for a while. The C2S has been in winter hibernation since early November....It's been a very long winter here in New England.
I turned the key and nothing happened...then I realized I forgot about the "drive block." I clicked it off and she started right up like I drove her yesterday.
Felt good to take her for a 30 minute drive, up to temperature.... and now back under the cover and on the trickle charger again (because it's gonna snow tomorrow).

I too took the cover off and fired her up for a 80 mile drive this afternoon.
I 40 to Williams was mositure and salt free. The only issue were the money grabbin' State ****'s radaring us road warriors.
It felt good to get behind the wheel again.
Spring is only two months away here

luckily for me here in ohio, we've had some pretty nice days every couple weeks. this past week i was itchin for a drive but the roads were wet from rain-it was in the mid 40s most of the week and 1 day in the 50s. i've only been driving when the roads have been dry because of all the work i did on the wheel wells over the winter. this week i was i said "screw it" and got it dirty again. oh well-the drives were worth it.

Beautiful car Rome. Myself and a friend with a C2S did the same about ten days ago. Nice relief from all the crappy weather. Then it snowed again a few days ago. YUK!. Oh well, spring can't be too far away.

Not a Porsche day here in Atlanta. Mucky snow which stuck to the roads for a short while.
Sunny skies tomorrow and up to 74 degrees by Friday.
Love that color combo, too, Rome!

If my car sits for more than a week, I pull the DME, crank the engine to build up oil pressure, replace the DME and then start the car. I crank the engine until I see the oil pressure gauage move past "1" bar. I like to make sure that the first cold start has lots of oil, and its cheap preventative maintenance. (No studies either way, I just think it makes sense).
Cheers,
Mike
