I keep getting pulled over, and radar detectors aren't cutting it anymore. Ohio uses Lidar almost exclusively, and it's a rare feat that you can detect it before they are beaming you. I've had one speeding ticket a year the last 3 years, and all have been from laser.

I am considering a Laser Jammer, but wondering if anyone has tried one in their 993. Every car is different in terms of how well they work, I"m told. It has to do with frontal area, color, reflectivity, etc.

Unfortunately for me, I'll have to buy 3 of the dang things, one for my DD, one for the 993TT, and one for the wifey's car which is the family truckster.

I think so, but most shut themselves off right after jamming, so the cops don't detect. Doesn't make it legal, but...

(b) No person shall use, buy, possess, manufacture, sell, or otherwise distribute any device that is designed for jamming, scrambling, neutralizing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with radar, laser, or any other electronic device used by a law enforcement agency to measure the speed of moving objects.

(c) Except as provided in subdivision (d), a violation of subdivision (a) or (b) is an infraction.

(d) When a person possesses four or more devices in violation of subdivision (b), the person is guilty of a misdemeanor.

No offense, but you are completely wrong.

They do work without any question. I have a Blinder system installed on my 993. Police officers sit at the bottom of a long hill just off the interstate three blocks from my house and shoot LIDAR all the time. An officer cannot be moving with Lidar so they stand with handheld guns behind a bush.

It's like shooting fish in a barrel. Motorists are coming off a 65 mph freeway onto a long down hill 4 lane road that is posted 35 mph. You have to ride your brakes to stay under 40 mph.

You have no chance at all with a Valentine.

Feel free to come visit and you can ride down the hill with me and witness for yourself the Blinder audible go off at least 3-4 times as they hit me coming down the hill.

A Blinder system has two heads mounted in the front of my car. I have circle one in the picture below. The heads are "always on" meaning as soon as the light detection and ranging (LIDAR) gun hits my car the system "jams" the signal that is returned to the officer and he gets a error message on his gun.

I went so far as to recently pull in beside one of the officers and asked him if I jammed him to his gun. He just shrugged and didn't answer me. Yes the are illegal in (9) states and one of them is CA. I live in KS and they are not illegal.

I studied these extensively before purchasing. I wouldn't spend $400+ on something that might work or might not. The earlier post referencing Guys of Lidar is a wonderful site with great information. I spent many hours on that website before I purchased my system.

Besides "playing" with the officers on the hill by my house it has saved me once in a different part of town when I was completely unsuspecting. That time the Blinder saved my A$$ and paid for itself in that single instance.

You should consider adding a bearcat with a bear-tracker irrespective of whether you decide to get a Blinder system. Used portable ones are about $125-150 and new fixed mount ones are about $150-200 depending on model. Fairly inexpensive and no questions about illegality or effectiveness.

I was aware of that, so it was just a data point in my pre-purchase research. Like Mark, I have some post purchase experience. Not saying what I have on which vehicle(s), but they do work.

I went out on a limb and bought one. Like Mark, I have personal experience that it works for me.

YMMV, and I could care less who buys one, or who else says it works or doesn't work. I am not trying to prove anything. Sorry if my statement was misleading.
