Would you change interior color?
If you found a good car with nice mods that met criteria other than interior color (and the interior/exterior color combo is important to you), would you change it, or move on?

I changed mine from blue to partial black. Changing interior color the right way is expensive. You have to buy and replace seat, dash, carpet, trim, etc. A much cheaper way would be re-dye, but it's not the same. So...unless you get a really great deal, move on.

I would probably change the interior color (or at least partly) if everything else was great: E.g exterior color (more important), condition of the car, options, mileage, price etc.. The interior color is not a show-stopper for me..

I wouldn't change it if I expected to sell the car at some point. It shouldn't matter but if I were looking I'd skip the car with a redone (especially redyed) interior.

I didn't think the interior color was for me either until I got used to what I had, then really appreciated it. Plus there is sort of the intermediate school poster syndrome...my coveted poster growing up was a 911 with tan interior...just somehow seems more luxurious or exotic...don't know, just me.

How hard have you had to work to find the current prospective car? Are you willing to work that hard (or harder) and wait longer to find another one? I don't think we can decide for you how patient you should be.

Inetrior color change
My Arena Red 993 is cashmere/ black interior. The headliner, dash and rear deck were always black. I replaced the seats with a set of black 993 hardback sport seats, surflexed just the center section of the door panels, replaced the rear quarters and seats with black from a guy who was removing a black interior to create a track car and put in a set of new black mats.
Now only the carpet, center console, a portion of the doors and the vertical wall behind the rear seats are cashmere. I really like the "combo" color with the majority being black.
Did it affect the value of the car?...maybe, but I only surflexed 2 small pieces. All other pieces are original black and I don't think anyone would say that the hardback sport seats reduced the value.
long story short. If you like it and your the one driving it......GO FOR IT!

I purchased my car with that compromise. I have gray interior and wanted black...but in the end decided, all things considered, it would be cheaper to have interior redone, vs. spending 10k-15k on a full re-spray. And the exterior color was MORE important....

I wanted black, but settled on grey because the rest of the car was what I wanted. I thought I would change the interior, but the grey has grown on me....chose to spend the $$ on suspension.
