Where the paper plates w/baked beans smashed on the windshields, shaving cream paint, and beer cans tied to the bumpers?

I will never have that experience---no desires to get or be married.

Jeff-- Any wedding pics with a WB blue 993 cab to share?

RLer Marc W. just lent his 993 out to a friend
IMHO, that makes Marc the "Best Man," regardless whether he was even in the wedding ceremony!
From the "Speedster type 993 photo thread:"

Where was this photographer when I was calling around to plan my wedding?

"Hello, getting married, need a photographer. Friend said to call you."
"Certainly, sir. Need a Speedster?"

You guys are hilarious! Looks like the bodyshop (I mean bakery) nailed the Arena Red too!

Starting to like this 993 section more and more. Someone brought me over here..... forget who...... cough.....

I read somewhere (forget where) that a girl also had the dream to also drive off in a 356 Speedster. Being as how an original is rare, she spent four or so years building one herself from an old bug, IIRC, there wasn't much 'bug' left it was a very comprehensive replica, and an inspiring story!

Great thread. Momentus occasions!

Take care!

Good thing you're not naming names. That guy would probably get throttled

Great thread.
While trying to remember where you read that story ^^ check out the "Welded bliss" thread

paid £200 for the wreck before stripping it down to the chassis and meticulously rebuilding it virtually from scratch, donning blue overalls, getting covered in grime and grease, and spending £4,000 in the process.
The stunning vehicle now features a white leather interior with a mahogany finish, has a 356 body shell, and includes an authentic steering wheel and speedometer. It is valued at £25,000.

‘My Mum and Dad have been buying various parts for the car for birthday and Christmas presents for the past six years.’
Her father added: ‘We’re all into classic cars and it was a very proud day for all of us. Megan’s Porsche replica is her pride and joy.’

Ok so My Wife and I did not drive off in a Porsche but instead a friends' 1969 GTO.

Totally agree! I was astounded when going through their wedding album.

I wonder what these two will drive off in after their wedding?

Maybe the C2S @ 8:10 - 8:55...
