Finally, finally, finally....got my 993
At long last, I found my 993
96' Granite Green Metallic with the light grey
37,000 miles and he car is absolutely immaculate. 2 owner car that has never been hit, modified, or driven in rain. Always stored in a climate controlled garage.
The seller gave me every receipt for the car dating back to 96', and of course, books, records, cover, etc. Not to mention, he is about the nicest guy you would ever want to meet.
We're moving to Los Angeles in December and I need to get the car in order..
Upgrades are in the mail. PSS10's next week, along with Fister exhaust, Short Shift Kit, Walrod Bushings, HID conversion, Big Reds up front with RS rears, RS Speedline (could take a few weeks), and still debating the RS bodywork.
Everything is being installed at Grand Sport in Southfield, MI. Those guys found me the car at a great price and and I couldnt speak more highly about them.
If anyone wants my Targa wheels, let me know. Tires have 45% left. The wheels are completely flawless.
Sorry about the iPhone pics. My wife dropped our camera in the ocean at Laguna a few weeks ago. Replacement on order.

Wow, great looking color. And welcome to L.A. as well.
All you need is to replace the broken badging on the rear deck, and you're ready to go! Congrats on your purchase. Post some new pics when you get all the mods done!

With the first bit about never being modded I was a bit worried. I see you're wasting no time (not to mention $$$$) on the slope. Pretty much a free fall. Can't wait to see the finished product, it'll sure look nice with the Speedlines! Just curious, did you get then from Gert@ Carnewal?

Congrats! As for the slippery slope, talk about jumping in with both feet...
Those Targas are way too nice for winter wheels I was thinking about.

OFD, your new car looks great..love the wheels.
Ahh...the slippery slope got me good. I had a lot of time to think about it and do my research. Took me 6 months to find the right car.
The car will be driven daily and see occasional track days and DE's. I'm pretty hard on the brakes, and thats the only significant chassis mod I'll do.
Though I am thinking about WEVO engine mounts (black) and RS trans mount. This car did alot of sitting. Consequently, the shocks are a bit floaty, tires are flatspotted, and I worry about some of the other rubbery items.

Absolutely beautiful!!
Stunning find! Your 993 looks great in Granite Green, also known as Felsengruen Metallic. This is a really unique color on the 993 because in the silver/grey range of the Porsche color palette, you mostly see Arctic Silver, Polar Silver, and Slate Grey. These are no doubt great classic colors, still desirable to this day, but you just don't see the medium grey tones of the Granite Green that often, and I for one think it's a perfect fit for the lines and curves of the 993.
Hope you enjoy many happy years of ownership!

Beautiful color. I am typically not a fan of any color with the letters GREEN it it, but that is very very nice. Drive it like you stole it. Way to embrace that slippery slope too! Enjoy!

Saw that one in Panorama. Beautiful, special car. Would have bought it in a snap if I didn't have one already.
