Laguna Seca this weekend!!!!
Anyone going to the ALMS this weekend? MarkD and I will be there. I will be wearing my FD Motorsports t-shirt, so if you see me, please stop me and say hi. I always enjoy meeting fellow Rennlisters at the races!
Hope to see you there

Great shots and the GT2 race was incredible. I had to work the race so didn't get any photos (victory circle, hand out trophies, clean up champagne...it's ok for
a job at the track). Everyone up and down pit lane was watching the GT2 guys at the end, the other classes were ignored. It was great racing. All of the pit
teams seem to have high def tv's, certainly was better viewing than what
we got from the same feed in our motorhome.
Got to talk with most of the drivers in victory circle, among the nicest were
the Melanie and Martin Snow running in the Challenge class. They had been out of racing for some time when Melanie decided it would be fun to get back into it.They are doing well and have a new Cup car coming for next year.
Gave a ride to a guy and his family who were parked up the hill near the corkscrew, turns out he was C.J.Wilson, closer for the
Texas Rangers. Obviously a lot more interested in racing than baseball. He would much rather be in a car in ALMS than pitching for the Rangers but I would imagine he's doing fine with the paycheck he's getting there...
Next year, we're moving the date of this race to May, it will be a 6 hour enduro. ALMS has been wanting to close their season with the Petit LeMans and stay closer to home for their end of the year banquet. I can understand that. It's been a while since we had a 6 hour race at Laguna, should be fun. Other changes for next year as well, will post them when everything is in ink.
