That Turbo was mine. It has a very interesting story, being ordered through Weissach by a gentleman who finished third at Le Mans, behind a guy named...Newman.
The color is in fact a great combo. based on antique mountain furniture colors.
I had it at a timed 275 Km/h on the german highway. Very well sorted car. No sunroof, no AC, no alarm, sportseats and very sports chassis.

Beautiful car, there used to be a site dedicated to this car which I will try and find. It was ordered from new by a former factory driver with a lot of delete options. I do not think its Kiln Red. My dad had a new Kiln Red Targa in '82 or '83 I remember it looking more orange, but I was also only 3 or 4 years old at the time. I will find the link to the article about this car and post it.

I knew a trni ions ago when I lived in NYC that had an old light blue convert porsche with plexi glass windshied (not sure of model), and a mini cooper with the rear split window and steering on the right, that were previously raced by him. The cars were in need of restoration and they probably ended up in a grave knowing the character that owned them.

I really wish that car goes to a real amateur/collector, to never be modified.
It is an Icon of a car and an Icon of a Porsche, the first street going 911 that really would scare people who were not respecting it. I have so many good memories of the car. I actually belonged to my then fiancee (now wife), and she drove it as intended, often leaving other dirvers in the dust.
It is, even in non-modified guise a brutally fast car and a great handling car.
Another picture of it where it shone. The C3 was faster, but required some real work.
