Another low mileage example

A car like this poses some real problems/questions. Do you drive it and decrease its value as an ultra low mileage example of a desirable car, or do you keep it in the garage and maintain its value (while not enjoying it)?
The other dilemmas it poses is:
- is it hugely overpriced or reasonable for mileage/condition?
- after 13 years and only 1800 miles, it will need lots of little bits replaced such as seals, etc. if one wants to actually drive it.
How many of us would gladly plunk down $80K (not that I'm advocating it's a good deal.....I have no affiliation with the car or seller) if we could walk into our local Porsche dealer today and buy a brand new 993 C4S?
Cheers.

I was in Houston (Woodlands) one week when he originally had this listed for $99,000.00.Though not in the market, I was curious to check it out. I told him before my visit that I was curious, and maybe could spread the word about his low mileage car. The car is as advertised and the owner appeared to be a stand up , well heeled guy who has several low mileage classic cars.
Why flame the guy because he hasn't established himself on eBay yet? Maybe he has never had any interest until now.

As far as eBay goes, I don't do much buying there anymore, and to me a zero rating just isn't acceptable.
Of course if I was buying an ultra low-mile $80K car I'd establish contact with the seller and verify provenance and then PPI the car up and down including checking paint/frame carefully. So maybe you're right. eBay certainly does get the car in front of a lot of eyeballs.

Well, I think your having met the owner could help ease someone's mind a bit. What did you think of the car?

It was perfect as it should be with 1800 miles. It started right up and sounded right to me.
Nicely appointed with the sport seats.
I'd rather spend $80k on this and drive it 3-4k per year than buy a $80-100k 997 water pumper that will lose 25 per-cent of its value when you drove it off the lot.
