Default RUF Spoiler Control Module

It's $340 and raises the speed at which the electric rear spoiler deploys and when it retracts. Anybody interested in going in on a group buy from the new RUF center?

Sure, how many do we need to order for them to drop the price by $290?

It's nice to have but definitely not on top of my list of mods considering the cost/benefit ratio.

Definitely pricey but if you can get a discount thru a GB, then go for it.

btw, the replacement OEM standard one is $319.

I have one and wouldn't have it any other way. I hated the up and down of the spoiler which also contributes to the constant breaking of that cheap plastic spoiler wall. And I didn't want a big 'ol turbo spoiler on my non-turbo WB, so the RUF was the right option for me.

Maybe a DIY project could be the solution:

I have one too and have no regrets at all. I know some here see little/no value in this but to me it's a cosmetic upgrade like lots of cosmetic upgrades listers do. If the waving wing bugs you do the upgrade.

I got one last year from Ruf in Germany and I love it!

It is worth every penny... even if it is a lot of pennies!

Wouldn't that be like giving our cars anti-viagra?

That's a 996. They don't know how to control themselves.

I have given up completely on worrying about the up and down. I used to always raise the spoiler with a touch of the switch at the appropriate speed... then forget to lower it when at my destination.

I finally decided to just let it do its thing and not worry about it. I hardly ever hear it, I can't see it, and when it breaks I'll upgrade to an RS wing.

Bring it under 300 and I would be in!
Assuming it works on a 1989 C4, thath is.

Just out of curiosity, assuming normal operating temps, what is the speed by which the tail goes up? And then down again? TIA (on the 997 they go up at 75mph and back down below 51--unless high temps enter into the equation).

Mine was getting crunchy, I hated the way it looked in the up position, RS wing it is!
