UPDATES on page 2!

big pics, sorry

the car is a 1995 cab, speed yellow on black leather, 25k original miles. the car was hit on the driver side, so i bought it cheap. thought id make a nice project out of it.

plans:
gt2 flares, splitter
kw coilovers
some nice deep dish widebody fitment wheels...3 piece
fister stage 3
ducktail spoiler

interior might stay relatively stock.

opinions welcome!

Keep 'em coming

Going to fill the headlight washer and bumperette holes?

How did you attach the flares?

the driver side already has the washer and the bumperette hole filled. the passenger one they are doing today.

the fenders were cut in true gt2 fashion, and the gt2 ones are on right now with a light adhesive waiting to be bolted on.

Do the original bumpers spread apart to match up with the Fender flares? It kind of looks like it. I can't really tell from the photos.

i dont think so, if so maybe just a little. it was the betterbodies kit for NB. really good fitment also, the body man was saying. im loving the look. wanted to do something completely different, the flares on a yellow cab with a ducktail maybe. then lowered on widebody fitment wheels. definitely has been a fun project so far

Awesome!

Are you going to sand down the fenders so it looks flush?

That's going to look sweet when done. A speedster windshield and doors would be nice too! Looowww and wide.

As a side note, the rear bumper profile between the exhaust outlets is messed up (see 1st and 2nd pics). It looks like it has been pulled back and flattened out. There is a semi rigid metal piece down there that is used to contour the lower rear bumper. You might want to look into that before they start putting paint on the car.

I think you should be turning the car into a super widebody Speedster

BTW re: rear bumper, the contour of the lower valence is different between widebodies and narrowbodies.

With the increased width of the back end from the GT2 flares, a ducktail might get a little "lost". IMHO ducktails look "best" on NB cars.

Btw: total encouragement - looks great so far!
