Ya i ended up picking up a 1996 C4S. It was cheaper then the TT and the wife agreed
The TT is still for sale. I guess now is not really the season. I did get my deposit back though.
As for the 4S... I'm in Love!! My previous car was a 2006 C4S and i love the 993 much more!!!

I really didn't want to compromise the rear footwell but from the looks of it i might just have to if i want to add bass...

i have my sub in the front passenger footwell as my kids can fit in the back seats and I didnt want to make that space unusable. It sits tucked into the front left quadrant of the footwell. It takes up some foot space for the passenger but its not uncomfortable in any way. Its a custom enclosure that is just a pressure fit. So i can pull it out and unplugg it in 30secs. Was a great solution for me. I have a cab and now the total sound package with the sub is complete. I completely agree you need a sub (somewhere) in the car

You should be able to find pics on this site where someone has built a 10" sub into the back of one of the drivers side rear seat back (facin g upwards when seat is down). I thought that building subs into a rear seat delete enclosure would be great but they are hard to find and expensive. If you find one in red let me know.

+1. Although it sounds stupid, I think your choice of carpet is the best part. Modern yet with a touch of old school, I love it.

Here are a few more photos including front doors and a photo that shows what you will find behind the arm rest locations. The door speaker enclosures where also rebuilt like the rears to accommodate a larger dual speaker but still keep a similar look to stock.

Thanks for all the compliments. I took my son out for a drive today as he played his Itouch music...great time driving down 1 to Big Sur.

as for where you are deciding to put the subwoofers, I suggest you consider budget, how much you will use the rear seats (my son still sits back there on occasion), esthetics, how much you will use the stereo (I still prefer the sound of the engine), how long you plan on owning the car, and how important a great sounding system is to you.

Rhino, great interior! I love the carpets, and the contrast in colors, fantastic! Personally, I could not do this, I tend to always have grease or dirt smeared on my (its in my nature), so I would mess this up pretty quickly, but it looks great!

Rhino - thanks for the extra pics. I would love to do something like that to mine, but I think it's beyond my skills and I cannot spend the $$$ to have it done professionally. I love the way you worked the speaker issue into the overall update. Well done.

Awsome sound. (rear speakers have to go, they do not match the rest of the set up)
All fitted perfect and no interrior change due to woofer installation. Reccomended !
Player is a big step forward. Bluetooth works great with the phone and a slot for SD memory card is fantastic. A 32MB card and you have tons of music available.

With the sub-woofer connected to the bottom of the seat instead of the floor, do you notice any adverse affects to the bass because it can move? Also, it looks like it's zip tied to the seat springs. Could someone sitting in the seat cause it to compress and possibly hit the floor? Please don't take these questions wrong. The only reason I'm asking is I really like the setup.

I assume you mean 32GB.

You may notice that the more music files you put on there, the longer it takes build the database every time you turn it on or switch it to SD mode. I have the same head unit and I try to keep it to around 20 albums or so.
