Default Does anybody know anything about this 91' Turbo

It almost seems to perfect, if anybody has any information about this car it would really help. If it is as clean as I think I am ready to offer the guy $45K. Here is the car - http://www.globalautosports.com/car/...upe-23179.html

Sorry, don't recognize it. Wheels are not stock, miles are low, do your due diligence as far as Carfax, service records, PPI etc. You might be able to get a board member here to look at it for you (rennfax). Good luck, let us know how it goes. And welcome!

Sorry don't know it. But if you're interested in low-miles '91 C2T, a friend of mine has been considering selling his, guards red with black interior. Recent engine rebuild ($$$$) due to his shop leaving a rag stuffed in the intake. (Doh!) He spent enormous money on the rebuild, so I expect it was done reeeally well. Mildly track-prepped, with color matched GT3 seats and rollbar. JIC suspension. No idea on price.

I wonder if this post is the seller stirring up interest.

Maybe not, but 1 post and in the wrong forum made me suspicious.

I should have introduced myself, as you are correct (Texas993) this is my first post on rennlist, however I have no affiliation with the seller. I am a private buyer in Long Island that normally does not chat online, however I was referred to this site by a few friends in the PCA. Thanks for your feedback, I will run the carfax and order a PPI shortly. I assumed someone already knew about this car since the miles make it pretty rare. And Eric I would be interested in looking into your friends car if it was clean and priced ok.

PM me and I'll send you my friend's contact info. Shouldn't post it publicly, and you aren't allowing people to send you messages.

The shop left the rag in the intake and the customer is paying for the rebuild??

FYI, the wheels on the car in the listing are from a 996 C4.

Money,

Sorry for the false accusation. Good luck with the search. I would recommend posting this in the 964 turbo forum and/or 964 forum. They might know what to look for.

Post it all up in the 964 forum, you will get a lot more responses there, as they are very different from the 993.

Is there a way to transfer the post, or do I have to create a new one in that section?

I know nothing about that particular car, but it does look clean.

Some quick observations off the bat:
- awful 996 wheels (those look terrible)
- aftermarket exhaust (unless they did full headers, it is a complete waste of money on C2Ts because stock exhaust is not restrictive) Also those aftermarket exhaust tips don't look good imho
+ looks like suspension is not stock (common upgrade is Bilstein HDs and H&R springs)

Turbos with new cheap wheels on them make me nervous. Nothing's easier to put in a ditch than an old school Turbo.
