I'm looking for a pair (2) of Michelin Pilot Sport Rib N2 Tires 255/40 ZR 17 in new or near new condition. The rears on my '96 Carrera 4 are shot but the fronts are still good. Michelin has updated this tire and I don't like the idea of mixing but I don't want to buy a full set either. So if anyone out there has some on wheels that they are not using or purchased and never mounted let me know.

I knew this was a longshot going in but to not post the question would have resulted in a 0% chance of success.

Ebay has a set for sale for $259.00 with 5.5/32 tread.

For about 2x that amount, you can had a complete set of Hankook's, which Im completely satifisfied with on my C4.

^Thanks for the reply but those were Sport Cup Tires. I did find one tire on eBay, brand new!

Have you tried asking your local prefered tire store? One or two years ago, I was in the same situation with the same tire, and Tire Rack said discontinued and out of stock. I called the store that I planned to have mount the tires and without telling them that I could not find them at Tire Rack, asked if they could get the tires I needed. They surprised me by calling back saying they could get the tires. Two new rear tires arrived several days later as promised.
I probably got lucky, and I hope you will too.
