A lot of the parts in that box have a service life. Though they may still "work", they may be on the back side of that service life. One would be a fool not to renew them when failed parts are being replaced and labor charges do not apply. With in reason....

I'm sure any Tech out there will do what you want, your car/ your money.

He seems to have mis-shifted in the editing, and now it is gone.

Probably third slider assembly....common. Blip the thottle at the shift, it will help it last longer. Match revs and all the other cool stuff I've heard.
