I keep thinking my car is clean until I actually look at it. These pictures are an inspiration. Did you do a lot of disassembly, or could you get to most stuff as it is?
Thanks for the compliments everyone! To answer some questions...heater boxes, heat tubes and relevant hoses and hardware were all removed. All heat shielding was also removed, inspected, cleaned and clear coated with heat paint. Once I scraped most of the cosmo off, I would spray generously with Xenit, let sit for about 15 min, then go banannas with a thin long screwdriver with a scouring pad over the tip, then wipe off with towel...repeat...repat...repeat as necessary to satisfy your degree of OCDness . The suspension wafflng was the most time consuming, tedious and seemed endless. I should wrap-up the front end in a day or so and then bathe everthing in Aerospace 303 Protectant.
After you finish the front end, if you have any blue magic or aluminum polish left over, mind buffing this out for me so I can enter the local PCA concours
The bar has been raised. And placed on the highest shelf. There it shall stay.
Phenomenal work!
Andreas
I am jealous and amazed at the same time. Did you remove one of the lower rear case bolts to "permanently" remove your rear center engine tray bracket?
