Where are the Boxster Owners???
After Owning a 993 for about 2 years and being on rennlist practically everyday I used to get ALOT of help just searching the forums and asking questions. Now that I have bought myself a Boxster S (that is somewhat a project) I search and I search, I ask questions and I have noticed that the activity on boxster sections (Pelican and Rennlist) is Practically Dead.
Am I missing something???

In general terms only.........Usually the Boxster is first entry into Porsche ownership for their buyers due to price point or they want a convertible sports car, etc....
The people who buy them appear to not know or appreciate about the history of Porsche, but buy the car for i.e. its good looks and don't really seem to care about the heritage, etc......
When I wave at Boxster owners I rarely get a wave back or high beam back, etc..........that indicates to me they are not into the history or heritage and not real car guys or gals that monitor or comment on car forums......
Wave at a 911 in a 911 and you get some type of acknowledgement.........Cayenne owners are oblivious to the wave......Cayman a bit better than regular Boxster.......GT or Turbo get pretty good waves back.....anything 993 and back is good chance of a wave or headlight flash....

I have no idea where the notion of a Boxster being a chick car ever came up. I've seen hundreds of boxsters but never have I seen a woman driving one. I did see a woman driving a 996 Turbo yesterday, however.
