Default Any Comments regarding this Airbox?

Has anyone using this on their 993? Are they any good? I've got the Fabspeed one but I think this one looks more practical to me...

Fabspeed one is GREAT for sucking in hot air. Heard reports of actual HP loss but cannot confirm.

I thought you can just drill your original box to get the same result and there was the holes pattern floating around. Actually I think I still have it.

if you look closely on the inside of the airbox cover, you can make out the hole pattern.

I used a punch to mark each circle, then a drill to drill each of the holes. then a dremel to de-bur the holes. time consuming? you bet, but I did it on one of my off days, no one was home, just some quality time in the garage with the 993.

Not all have the pattern imprinted in the back. I bought an extra one to mess with and it didn't have one, but mine did. Or theother way around.

Also, I remember someone said drilling small holes with the pattern work better than few big holes.

There's a DIY out there somehwere (PCar Workshop?) on how to drill and the "optimum" pattern (apparently they tried several designs).

Do a search in the forums. There is a pattern listed. I couldn't download the pattern on the Pcar website
