Default (Seat) part number help

I'm putting together a order for a bunch of small parts. I'm having problems finding the part numbers for some seat parts, both of my copies of PET have only this statement in the "seat" section
"see group 8/7/00 to 8/7/80 catalogue STZ.18"

I want the outer black pieces that are just above the hinge on the seat back half for both drivers and pass. seats. Again, these are the pieces closest to the doors.

If you could provide me with where you find this that would be great too.

Also, can't seem to find the round plastic piece that goes around the ignition switch, it's not in either the dashboard section or the electrical section.

Thanks again.

Update: found a post from last month that lists them as 928. part numbers but from the Pelican drawing it shows a pre 993 part and not the part of the seat I'm looking for. Still searching.

Seats catalouge (direct link to the pdf):

http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf...SA_KATALOG.pdf

807-00 starts at page 534

Looks like:

928 521 147 02 01C (L) black
928 521 148 02 01C (R) black

EDIT:

I did not see the key surrond question, it is under the front axle section (go figure)

part # 911 613 160 01 (may have 70B added for black after 01)

Thank you EriK. It looks like the 928. is the correct part number, too bad it says it's a discontinued part.

Curious, what is the STZ "model" mean?

Thanks again.

That is the seats catalogue abbreviation in full version PET (I can't link to that without it being deleted and the source looks like it has been removed)

It is much easier to navigate than the PDF's. I don't have the latest version but it is still cool. To find the key surround (rosette) I just searched for key and it found the page without having to go through page by page.

PM me your email address and I can send you some info, no guarantees it will work.

For future ref.
Catalog dated 05.02.2010, Main Group 4 (front axle/steering), Sub Group 3, Illustration 403-05, item # 23
and as Erik stated it's called a "rosette"

Thanks. Had it there last Sat for the Ferrari w/e (good turnout too). Doubt I'll be there this w/e, too many chores.

Apparently the seat parts are still available. Ordered them thru Hennessy Porsche. Price is $41.03 each.

Hey Bill,

Are you replacing the seat parts because they are cracked? If so there is a way to mount them so they won't crack again around the attaching screws.

Yes, both are cracked, driver's side almost in half. Don't know, hoping you just don't tighten them down too tight. But on a 15 yo car I'm not surprised they cracked.

Yeah, that's what I thought. They'll crack again.... Even with moderate screw tightening it pulls the plastic and stresses it. The pieces don't conform to the seat very well.

I got some self adhesive sound padding I use on the plane. It's damping material. Dense foam and self adhesive. Probably about 1/4" thick or a bit more. Stick it to the seat and then mount the plastic pieces. The damping material acts as a spacer. Allows you to tighten the screw enough but takes the stress off the plastic part.

You have the pieces off, so you can see what I mean. You need some kind of dense foam to space out the new part. I can send you some of my stuff.....

Appreciate it Mike but I have some Porsche gasket like pad that I think will work well. It comes in a roll and is about 1" wide, sticky on both sides. I'll give that a try first.

Thanks for the tip!
