993 comes full circle :)
Hey everyone,
So as the title states, my 993 has come full circle. I purchased my first Porsche (just so happened to be a 993) in late 2003. It was just coincidence that it happened to be a 993 as I didn't know much about the brand or how special the 993 model was. I had the car for about 3 years and over those years replaced the wheels and suspension and really enjoyed the heck out of it. After 3 years of ownership, I made the decision that I wanted to get into a newer 911 so I ended up selling my beloved 993 to a fellow Rennlister known here as VNTGSPD.
So for me, it was onto the next chapter of Porsche ownership and with the purchase of a 996 Targa. While I liked the 996, as many of you have stated, the car lacked soul and was nowhere near as much fun to drive as the 993. I ended up parting with the Targa only to wind up with an '88 Guards Red Coupe that I still have today (it's for sale btw! ). My '88 is a blast to drive but I've always loved the lines, curves and look of the 993.
I have kicked myself everyday for selling my 993 and knew that at another point in my life I would own another one, but never thought it would be my original car. A number of weeks ago, I stumbled upon a post from VNTGSPD that indicated he was contemplating selling my original car. After a number of conversations, we agreed to a deal, I had a PPI done and the car was picked up yesterday afternoon and is on its way back to me!
I can't tell you how excited I am to have her back. David was great to deal with both when selling and purchasing the car back. Anyway, I'm thrilled to be back in the 993 camp again!
Here are some pictures of the car:

Thanks everyone. I can't wait for the car to arrive...It's like waiting for Christmas as a kid.
I plan to keep this one for a long, long time. I guess for me it took 3 different era of Porsches to understand how special the 993 is. Glad I made the journey, but even happier that it ended the way it did!

The wheels are the 40th Anniversary Carrera version of the "MY02 LTW". Not sure if they are painted with special paint, electropolished, polished with satin finish. They are clearcoated for sure.

Bumperette delete, RS wing, splitters, 96 brakelight, and sport seats were all done withing the past year or so. I have a bad habit of getting the car perfect...for the next guy.
Don't get too attached Chris......
