Default Another Barn Find?

'96 Targa - 19kmi - $6k...exposed to the elements and in need of TLC. May be a nice project/find if legit. No affiliation.

Nice project indeed! Already has a turbo bumper so I'd check the Carfax for a possible clue as to why

Yea the tag on the steering wheel may have been from a salvage or Repo auction. It has some pretty good water damage with the seat bottoms split like that. And who knows about ECM under the drivers seat. Was it under water? All in all without a bunch of surprises it may be a good buy. Is it a salvage title?

My thoughts exactly. If it hasn't been totally flooded it might be a decent deal though. Either way its probably worth more than $6k for parts alone.

If I were a gambling man, I'd give it a shot. I'd love a Targa, but I am not a gambling man, nor do I have the patience to bring something like this back to life.

I did some sleuthing...it's an auction Annoying that the ad says "price $6000" when that is just the opening bid.

Happy bidding!

I knew its too good to be true, in the age of the internet any jackass can find the price of anything in mere seconds. Theres definitely some kind of catch.

I emailed the seller last week and found what others already mentioned.

It's an auction w/ starting bid of $6,000.
The targa top is not operational and in the open position.
IRS repo w/ no service records.
Difficult to tell but I'd guess that the stated 19K mi is not accurate.
And the biggie is it has a "Rebuilt" Title, but seller does not know why.
