For a 3pc wheel, what's the typical cost of painting the face and polishing the lip? The shop is quoting me $300/pr wheel which i thought was high...or is it?

I am in the process of doing the same thing. Wheel America was suggested by a Rennlister. They have shops in various cities and fortunatly one here in South florida.
I visited and was very impressed by the work I saw. the best part is they have a flat rate of $129 for clear coating , road rash and straightening (all of which I need). I am also having them mount new Yoko A008's for an extra $20 per tire.

I plan on doing this next week. I will report how all turns out.

That seems a little high. It was a long time ago, but I had Brite Wheel refinish some Fuchs for my 911SC back in 97 or so for about $120/wheel.

I paid $900 for a set of four, which included straightening out one wheel.

thanks for the reply everyone. was able to talk the shop down to $220 a piece; new color and repolishing the lip. I think that's fair.
