Default Another North Georgia New Years Eve Mountain Run?

Just dawned on me that New Years Eve is a mere 30 days out...And on a Saturday. Anyone up for a 5th consecutive year?

A repeat of a few images from last years thrash (Ed, Dave, and Jim are probably still trying to get their cars clean!)...

If the weather is nice and no salt/gravel is on the road I am down. Last year was like a skating rink... Fun though

If we could somehow have a mild December, with the DOT keeping their salt/sand trucks in the garage, I would love to go.

I wouldn't miss it...rain or shine or sleet or snow (and we have had all of those in the past 4 year runs). So...Count me in!

We are in with one or both cars - depending on the weather.

What a better way to add some "patina" back to the car?

Thanks for the link. I may see you there!

I just ordered new rotors and pads for our perennial romp. New motor mounts, too.

Ryan, get a bra to protect your paint and join us. My front is still chicken poxed from when I dared to follow Dave Thoman too closely (emphasis on follow) in his track prepped 993...which he should buy back...just sayin'

This is becoming akin to those crazy guys who go swimming in Lake Michigan this time of year. Gonzo rules!!!

Hi Guys,

I'd be interested. What is the agenda? I'm in Roswell at 400 and HBR.

Is this just for 993/911's or are other Porsche models welcome too? I know a few folks in the area that don't frequent this board that have 912's, Boxsters and 914's...

Thanks
Jason

I should be in. Last year was my first NYE drive and I had a blast, despite the conditions.

All Welcome

We usually have a meeting point off exit 13 in Cumming @ the Starbucks 1/4 mile east. ~ 8am. then the next meeting point near the mountains. I'm sure there will be more details soon...

Just putting this out here as a suggestion....We could meet at the usual Home Depot at the northern end of GA 400 (Intersection of GA 400 and GA 60 about 5 miles south of Dahlonega) around 9:00 AM on Saturday, December 31.

That would give us time to do some driving, maybe have lunch and a beer, and still leave time for everyone to make it home for evening festivities.

This routine has worked well for a couple of years now, but if others have a better start point, I'm fine with it.

As Dave said, anyone who wants to come along is welcome.
