I have asked this a few times.Still no response from any buyers.I own all the 993's a man could ever want and if someone wants to know when,where,from who or how much I paid for any of my three 993's just ask.What's the big secret.Most of us deal with money everyday.Is it uncouth to ask?I think not!If anyone wants to talk pedigree you can ask that to.Expect a truthfull answer.I am an open book!

Nah...keeping the price to myself. I had a bad experience stating the price I paid for a car on a forum so its not worth the hassle...everyone knows what these cars are worth especially if you do your homework.

I share price info as well but many owners don't want to be skewered by some posters who feel that the cars are not worth that much. It saves the owners from these on-line 'attacks' and I don't blame them at all. Life is too short for such nonsense. These 'attacks' exist in every car forum, not just here in the Porsche world. Why? Probably because the car they own is not worth that much so they need to offend others' purchases.

I like reading about a good bargain as much as the next guy, but asking about someone's finances is asking a personal question. I totally understand someone not wishing to discuss what was paid. It's a no-win either way. If you paid low and got a great deal and then sell later at true market value you get accused of gouging, if you paid high, you are ridiculed for paying too much. Not to mention the tax issue, after all, we are not the only ones who are reading this forum...

I think that's a question best asked via PM. There is a sticky thread at the top of the 993 forum that offers buyers the opportunity to post their price is they choose to do so publicly. The most recent post was from a buyer who paid $53,000 for a NB coupe, albeit with 4,000+ miles. Had that owner introduced himself here, along with the price paid, it would have provided for a very interesting and debate fueled topic.
