Default Wiper Blades

I bought a new set of wiper blades (top of the line from Autozone) a few weeks ago and while they do a good job cleaning the windshield, they hang over where the windshield curves on the drivers side. It leaves a bunch of crud on the windshield at that location...

Are the OEM blades the only option for a good fit here or has anyone had a good experience with aftermarket blades...I know it seems trivial but I like a clean windshield.

thanks,

Mark

I always buy from dealer for the little rubber stop included, and they hang as well
I bend the tip slightly and they still hang as usual

I have not had much luck with third party blades, but that does not mean they do not exist. The posche blades are expensive for sure, so it would be interesting to see if alternatives exist.

Cheers

My experience has been only the OEM's from the dealer work the best.

I measured my old blades and went into the Autozone to buy new ones. The guy looked in his book and quoted a length 1" longer on one blade and 2" longer on the other than I had measured. Left the store and ordered them from Pelican.

They came separately in Bosch boxes...$7.75 per blade.

When parked the tip of the bottom (L) wiper stands slightly out from the glass a small amount because of the windshield curve. The top (R) wiper does not hang of the glass.

There are far far worse problems....

I just ordered a set of the "OEM" Bosch blades from Pelican. $26.25 shipped.

Can't just the insert be changed on the stock wiper blades? I know that most parts stores don't carry the inserts anymore but I think you can still get them from VW dealers.

We carry PIAA Super Silicone blades and the work AWESOME. I have tried many of them myself and these really do work great. It's all I use. I do have an 18" curved passenger blade that should fix you up.

You can order here.

I got these a couple months ago from you guys. The left wiper does stick up off the windshield a bit. Are you saying there's a different part that wouldn't do that?

Change the inserts--Audi inserts fit (check for right size)
