Hello World - My new (old) 993 :)
Ive been on this forum for a few months and bought my dream car mid october for my birthday
Here it is! 1997 C2 that just finished a big set winter projects.. at the shop waiting to be aligned
1997 Carrera 2
58k miles
2 owner california car
Projects - Complete! think i spent a good 20hrs under the car.. loved every minute! and learned a ton about the car - thanks for all the great posts on rennlist!! and the Porsche parts catalogue is great to refrerence how things go back together
- DME Relay
- Wiper blades
- RS motor mounts
- Oil & transmission fluid change
- Blaupunkt Toronto BT Stereo - Hifi car, but didnt connect the nokia amp
- New plug wires + distributor cap + rotors (plugs are new from PO)
- RS Short shift kit + golden rod
- PSS10s
- Walrod control arm bushings
That's it for now.. will align to ROW Sport and RS+15 height (adding 5 so the suspension has some room to settle.. pic is at +10)
Can't wait to get it back tomorrow so i can drive and wash it!

Mid-October eh? Sounds like we both got our cars within a week or so of each other! Mine needed just a little more work than yours though..I think I had about 140-150 hours in to my winter projects, LOL!

Your story is very similar to mine! Bought a 97 C2 last spring and spent the summer, fall and winter doing a bunch of preventative maintenance and upgrades. Congrats and enjoy it!

Looks like you had Group 2 do some work? I know the shop well.
Welcome to the list! We have a very active 993 community in the PNW!!
Come on out to Bremerton Motorsport Park this Saturday for the PCA Auto-X practice, it's free for PCA members!

Alignment - I went with ROW Sport.. talking to the tech I could have gone with some more camber with the planned track work.. im going to stick with this as i learn to push the car. Sway bars and camber will be added once i feel the car plowing too much. Ride height is RS+10.
Alignment took 3 hrs, so $328 .. was great service and really like the shop - people, cars, parts they carry & location.

Have fun on the slopes, it's the best mountain in the area by far!!
A 993 on the track is an experience, it really highlights the capability of the car! The new Shelton track is going to running this year, can't wait to hit that one!! The go-cart track (PGP) at Pacific Raceways opens up the track for cars quite a bit. It's a giant fast Auto-X type track. Totally wears you out in 4 hours!! The only place I've experienced brake fade in the 911. It's only $75!
