After a long hiatus we got going again. Pics of painted bits. Front fenders are on.

Wing uprights are being cut right now on waterjet. I can run off copies for anyone running RSR/Gt2 wings. Will post pics.

Have hydraulic release bearing for clutch (thx Steve W.). Final mechanical assembly hopefully in May.

^ Ha, I think it misses you!

John did a helluva good job on the fiberglass fenders, eh?

Balance of paint will be done this week....

Matt, thanks for the great thread on this project and some much needed inspiration that I needed to get back on the horse. I've been off of Rennlist for a year and out of the Porsche scene for almost 2. Got caught up in raising kids and running hospitals which somehow took me away from a hobby I have loved for a long time. What's crazy is that I moved home to Watkins Glen a couple years ago to have more time for family and sportscars. Drive by the track every day to work and have only been up there for one 2 afternoons so far. Your video all the way back on page one woke me the hell up! Awesome motor and sound. Going to get the car ready for spring this week and get out for the DE I've planned on for 2 years. Thanks for the thread!

Andy

^ Hey Andy, glad to provide some inspiration. God knows I've received lots here.

I'm at Watkins May 1/2 doing a bit of coaching and then back for the PCA race late may. Shoot me a PM if you want to meet up for a coffee (beer) and not talk about hospitals

Matt... what PCA class are your targeting? Looking forward to seeing your car the Glen race in May.

^ Hi Glen. Given the carnage in GT classes at recent PCA races (I was standing at the start at Road Atlanta and witnessed the awfulness) the smurf is going to remain a track toy. I'll continue racing SPB. See you at the Clash!

Sounds good Matt. I may be working the PCA race. Probably grid or tech for at least one day. I'll take you up on a beverage and will shoot you a PM soon.
