Got it fixed! It did take several tries. The first attempt I actually wound up inadvertently drilling a “new” hole in the door pull handle. At this point I am unable to absolutely state whether the door pocket was truly bowed/warped. This time I removed all screws and forcibly pressed inward and upward on door pocket while visually lining up the drill hole in the reinforcement bracket with the door pull handle. I used a large washer to hopefully more evenly distribute forces away from the hole which may more or less serve as a stress riser potentially resulting in
