Opo-

You got a GREAT car! I've lusted after that car for 2 years. I called Mike two diifferent times about buying it but I never pulled the trigger because I only have a 3 car garage and I have 3 cars (including a '97 993 TT).

My wife kept telling me to buy it and store it but I just didn't have the energy to hassle with another car (200 clients, 2 young kids, wife, dog, etc)

That is a great color! Please keep it like it is! And post some pics+

I know there are some who'd like to see a conversion and I'm sure a RB one would be very nice but this car is very clean. I helped Mike a little as he transformed the car from what it was to what it is today. Mike didn't cut corners. Anything that needed to be replaced was done correctly and with factory parts. In my opinion this example is one that should stay as it is. I can't wait to see Mike's next project. I hope he gives me a call so I can scrub in.

Wow! The car will stay the same for now, I will post some more pictures as soon as I get back home, I had a 3 spoke wheel installed already and now I'm hunting down some black sport seats, let's see how that goes, if I don't find them I will ship this 993 and 2 of my other cars to Paul champagne in corpus in February to get some made by him, he does a great job making 993 sport seats, JP refered me to him

Yes sir! The car is super clean indeed, like I said in some other threads, I left on vacation one day before the car arrived, but what's funny is that I got a call from the guy that takes care of my cars and this is the words that came out of his mouth, RUDY! THIS CAR IS SUPER CLEAN!! AND IT EVEN CAME WITH A LITTLE SMURF TOY!!! Now can anybody you explain to me what's the deal with the SMURF??

Blame Moffat; I know nothing

Anybody smurfed on over to Mike's thread that had photos with the resulting doll shipments?

In the meantime, enjoy the following shot from RJT's "Porsche (PCA) Palooza..... Pictures" thread.

I didn't know I was lucky to meet Arena993 while he still had his plush Smurf and his prize-winning Smurf. Last Nov at Palooza:

The following should be a 'sticky thread' / required reading for all RL newbies
...instant insight to the RL 993 culture of japery & hijinks:

Arena993's "MOFFAT!!!!!!!! Look what I found in my mailbox" thread.

From left to right here is who sent me these additions to the car

1. Grouchy Smurf - Mark D
2. Papa Smurf - Fister D
3. Smurfette (Amazon Smurf) - C Iverson
4. Little Fart - MOFFAT (He started this whole mess)
5 & 6 - Grouchy and Papa Smurf - 2 of them from Curve Lover
7. Bumper sticker below Smurfette - Andreas (AOW162435)

NO NEED TO SEND ANYMORE. I GOT THE IDEA

To each their own but...they imported only 7 Riviera Blue 993 Cabs into U.S. in 1995. 9m also highly recommends low mileage cars.

It's such a unique color and experience to own I'm not sure he would get anymore joy for the amount of money it costs versus what he gets now.

Also, the owner of Truspeed wants/plans a Riv Blue to convert into Speedster. 1 of 2 now...

Where did you get this information? Over the years there have been a lot of people asking the production numbers by colors , and IIRC no one was able to find a resource that would or could confirm the numbers.

It also states how many coupes and a bunch of other good stuff. I didn't realize it was so unknown.

Tony,

Would you consider scanning the letter and posting it?

Regards,
