Houston A/C Service
Hey guys, I haven't posted on here in years (only put about 70 miles on my car last year because of business and no a/c) but am in need of a good a/c repair person in Houston. The a/c compressor is turning but no cool air. As you can see the car sits a lot, which I intend to change if I can get the a/c fixed. Thanks for any help.

Hello,
I am in Houston & recently used Mike Callas at Rennsport in Sealy to fix mine. Was not cheap but he knows what he is doing and I would recommend him
Hope this helps

Thanks Spec, have heard many good things about Mike, just wish he wasn't so far (we live near downtown). A friend of mine that is a mechanic said that Eurocar just hired a guy he knows named Jose that is a very meticulous Porsche guy. I might see what kind of diagnosis he comes up with.

Hey guys, yes it's refreshing to know that there are still some 993 guys left in the area. When the weather cools down some we should all get together somewhere !
Spec, I'll probably let Jose take a look at my car in the next couple of weeks. I'll let you know what I think.

Sounds like a plan, even with fully operational AC in Houston it is still hot. I just actually joined PCA a couple of weeks ago so will definitely try to get to some events at some point soon.
Would be good to catch up with some fellow 993 owners are I have not seen many on the road down here

Hey Wunderbar, welcome. I was hoping that was the problem (sitting too long) but I've got a set of gauges and everthing is OK on psi. I drove it a while today and it seems like the compressor has now quit engaging........grrrrrrrrrrr.

An easy way to get a base line would be to have the system evacuated and recharged. Every AC shop should be able to do this for ~ 100 USD. Just tell them that they need to fill in ~840g freon.
